[Isn't he like...20? But then again, she's seen firsthand just how cruel military life can be. She doesn't begrudge anyone for wanting to leave, at any age.]
[She knows nothing about agriculture??? Nonetheless, she'll give this due consideration.]
It might be possible to harvest those that require little sunlight and can adapt to the soil here.
[What kind of soil do they even have here she hasn't checked yet. Mostly, though, she curious about the long-term implications of his words, both for himself and the people of Chantes.]
Do you plan on remaining her long enough to see the harvest itself?
[She hasn't really paid much attention to the local agriculture here tbqh. Too busy trying to debunk conspiracy theories and murder plots to focus on mundane things like this, alas.]
[shakes fist at ALASTAIR!!!!! but actually this is pretty normal for her, she's okay with it (the running around bit, not the execution bit.....)]
Do the townspeople not already have a ready source of herbs?
[The plentiful jars in Agatha's house seemed to imply an abundance of herbs, but perhaps she'd painstakingly gathered them from the forest or grew them in her own garden instead of obtaining them from a communal supply.]
[So kind-hearted and considerate of the townsfolk. It's encouraging to hear. What isn't encouraging is the state of the ALASTAIR recruits outside of the jail.]
No progress on constructing a plan to free you from the prison, unfortunately. Captain Levi and I took a short trip earlier to search for some of the remaining Order members in hopes of assistance but were unable to locate any of them.
However, one of the recruits, Glee, held a meeting earlier to share information learned. I've picked up a few things of interest from that.
Anna has agreed to assist us. She has a few tracking abilities that go beyond those of regular humans.
[Ultimately it won't end up being that helpful, but for now it's all they've got. And really, for all that things are a touch hectic on the outside, she can't imagine those imprisoned are faring any better.]
You must be having just as difficult a time in prison as we are out here.
[Reading that message leaves a dull ache in her heart. Even frantic planning won't cancel out any mental or physical scars left from the prison. She has to work harder.]
Please hang in there, sir. We'll find a way to free you soon.

What crops did you focus on?

Yes, I left my position temporarily. There were other things I needed to do for a while. [Like garden. ]
Crops? I mainly harvested food for others to eat. You can't get a meal out of no where.

That's quite hard work to do. [But rewarding. She can see why he'd choose to go that route.] Did you enjoy it?

Do you think it's possible to harvest plants here, Lieutenant?
[They don't have a sun this is a legitimate question.]

If I'm not around to witness fruit grow then maybe someone else will continue it for me.
We can always try harvesting and see where it goes.
[It's worth a shot tbh. Julius takes note of Riza's words even though he's still stuck in prison atm.]

[Some plants might actually help them with their mission so there's that. POOR RIZA...running around tirelessly because of ALASTAIR :(.]

[When they aren't dying and in the middle of a crisis? Maybe.]
Lieutenant, have there been any updates on your status yet?

[Both of them are more than competent enough for the job. Julius knows Riza and Levi will come through somehow.]
There's a lot going on out there.
[Time feels slow in prison. Still, Julius is really concerned about everyone even though he's in a tough position himself. ]

I don't want to give into the guards demands, but the pressure is slowly getting to me. We need to find a way to save everyone soon.
[ If he could put emphasis on 'sooner' he would. Everyone's working together on this. There's still hope for the prisoners! ]
